You can’t seem to shake off your sadness, apathy, or fatigue. Feelings and thoughts you used to attribute to being tired or just having one of those days have taken a permanent seat in your body and mind. You may have started to become more irritable around your family and friends and are starting to isolate yourself, believing nobody would want to be around you. Feeling like this, it is no wonder you are having a tough time getting out of bed, wanting to hit the snooze button one more time.
And when you finally coax yourself out of bed, you think to yourself “I've just got to get through the day.” At work, you go through the motions, constantly looking at the clock, counting down the hours, the minutes, the seconds until you can go home and get back into bed. You turn on that familiar show of yours and watch a few too many episodes, not wanting to turn off the distraction, not wanting to lie awake with your critical thoughts.
You can't seem to relax. You feel like your mind is always full of worry. You worry about your health, what that stranger thinks of you, how your boss and coworkers feel about you, if your significant other is being honest and faithful… Your mind feels distracted, and it’s difficult to be present. Your worries have made it incredibly hard for you to enjoy your life right now. This isn't the life you want to live.
It's time to get you out of this rut. I have extensive experience working with anxiety and depression. I believe wisdom is found in these difficult feelings that need to be heard in order to heal. In our work together, we will slowly and compassionately turn toward the emotional pain to transform its intense energy into a source of powerful, transformative healing and strength.
